Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - Windy Hermosa afternoon
I’m launching another new website, for local icon Java Man:
It’s a very simple site, with a photo slideshow on the home page, an Adobe PDF menu, and a Google Map locator.
Simple perhaps, but it answers the important questions: where is JavaMan, what’s it like, and when is it open. Simple is always better, and I think this suits JavaMan/OceanDiner owner Rick Hankus and his staff.

The Current Hermosawave Live Webcam has been up on Hennessey’s roof for more than eight years and the camera, lens, enclosure and mounting are all ready for replacement.

Here is the latest on the Webcam Upgrade:

Google ads pay for the $100 monthly internet bill, but cannot pay the estimated $1500 it will cost for a new, higher-resolution camera and outdoor enclosure.
Thanks again to Hennessey’s Tavern for graciously allowing me to place the camera on their roof.
